PURPOSE:To maintain good steering characteristics precisely corresponding to a running condition by providing a means for making judgement as to whether the condition is outside a predetermined range, and changing a driving force distribution ratio of front wheel to rear wheel when the condition is outside said range. CONSTITUTION:An indication means M3 outputs a driving force distribution ratio of front wheel to rear wheel to a driving force distribution means M2, corresponding to steering characteristics set by a setting means M1. On the other hand, an operation means M5 calculates a range of running conditions on the basis of detection by a steering characteristics and steering condition detecting means M4, and a judgement means M7 makes judgement as to whether a running condition detected by a detecting means M6 is within a predetermined range. An instruction for maintaining said distribution ratio when the running condition is within the range, and an instruction for increasing or decreasing the ratio when the condition is outside the range, are respectively outputted to a driving force distribution means M2. According to the aforesaid constitution, the driving force distribution can be controlled to maintain the steering characteristics, even when the running condition has given a change.
