System intended for non-invasive measurement of density of fluids flowing in a pipe subjected to a pressure which can exceed 150 MPa. The densimeter consists of an energetic photon source 3, and a radiation detector, which are fixed diametrally opposite each other on a pipe made of a composite material 1 enclosed in a cylinder 2 of a metal which is highly absorbent to the photons emitted by the source, and comprising a window for the source, and a window for the detector. The photon emitter source is either a radioisotope emitting gamma rays, or an artificial device emitting X-rays. <IMAGE>
