The polishing machine has a drive motor with a vertical axis of rotation and a polishing face (5) on a disc normal to this. A pair of guides (23,30) extend normal to the axis of rotation and are arranged on both sides of the polishing member. The polishing head pref. comprises a pair of rigid support plates. One of the plates is arranged on the lower portion w.r.t. the axis of rotation to provide the polishing face. A resilient body is sandwiched between the rigid support plates. |
