CEPHALOSPORIN COMPOSITION FOR ORAL ADMINISTRATION

PURPOSE:To obtain a cephalosporin composition for oral administration having excellent absorption ratio in fasting, by blending T-2588 or an acid addition salt thereof with an organic carboxylic acid and an amino acid hydrochloride or betaine hydrochloride. CONSTITUTION:Pivaloyloxymethyl7beta-[(Z)-2-(2-aminothiazol-4-yl)-2-met hoxyimino acetamido]-3-[5-methyl-2H-tetrazol-2-yl)methyl]-3-cephem-4-carboxylate (called T-2588) or an acid addition salt thereof is blended with 2-6C organic carboxylic acid and an amino acid hydrochloride or betaine hydrochloride and pharmaceuti cally manufactured to give the aimed substance. The sum of the organic acid and the amino acid hydrochloride or the betaine hydrochloride is 0.4-1.5pts.wt. based on 1pt.wt. T-2588 and the amount of the organic acid is 0.25-4.0pts.wt. based on 1pt.wt. amino acid hydrochloride or betaine hydrochloride.
