PURPOSE:To vary the height and tilt of the magnetic head formed to the support member by making the shape of the support member at both ends and narrowing the width from one end toward the other end. CONSTITUTION:In applying a voltage to a piezoelectric element 12 on a base 11, the element 12 is elongated in its longitudinal direction and a compressing force is applied to a support member 13 by supporting an H-shaped middle connection of the base 11. The member 13 is bent in a shape of circular-arc by the compressing force. In this case, since the width of the member 12 is narrower sequentially, the bent shape in the longitudinal direction is different. That is, the narrowest part of the width is deformed largely and the deforming quantity is smaller as the width is wider. As a result, a magnetic head 14 fitted nearly the middle of the member 13 changes its height and the tilt is changed. In applying the voltage with an opposite polarity to above to the element 12, the moving direction of the head 14 is opposite to that stated above.
