PURPOSE:To extremely shorten a system recovering time by writing a page including a part replaced by a transaction into a nonvolatile memory device when the transaction is through. CONSTITUTION:A contents assuring system for information on a main memory device consists of a CPU/main memory device 11, an information storing medium 12 like a magnetic disk, etc., storing an information group such as a data base, etc., connected to the memory 11, a magnetic disk, a magnetic tape or a semiconductor memory serving as a medium for a history information file 13, and a nonvolatile memory 14 capable of a high-speed random access such as the semiconductor memory device which assures the contents of the recovery subject information on the main memory device like a residence table, etc. In such a constitution, it is not required to acquire all contents of the information on the main memory to a magnetic disk device at the time of a check point. Thus no consideration is not needed for deterioration of the system performance at the time of a check point.
