PURPOSE:To enable coil springs to be fed in a state to be separated one by one, by a method wherein an air injection plate is situated to the bottom of the agitating chamber of a hopper, a guide part, formed in a V-shape in cross section, is located to a ceiling part,and a guide plate having an inclination guide part and a curved guide part is positioned to the outlet of a discharge chamber. CONSTITUTION:Air is injected through air injection holes 13, 13... into an agitating chamber 2, coil springs 4 are agitated in a floated state to disentangle entanglement of the coil springs with each other. An air flow is collided with guide parts 16 and 16 of a ceiling member 17 and is guided to outlets 5 and 5. Simultaneously, the coil springs 4 are carried to outlets 5 and 5 by means of an air flow and introduced to discharge ports 3 and 3. In this case, the opening size of the outlet 5 is set to a value lower than the length of the entangled closed type coil spring. Further, the shape of a curved guide part 23 is set so that the position of the center of gravity of the entangled open type coil spring is located in a position allowing it to float from a curved guide part 23 of a guide plate 21. This constitution enables the entangles coil springs to be reliably separated from each other to feed them one by one.
