PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movement of a mechanical timepiece that does not require decomposition of a movement of a completed mechanical timepiece, calculates an approximate value of the frictional resistance of a balance, and can easily determine whether the value is normal or abnormal.SOLUTION: A mechanism for fixing an escape wheel 15 is disposed at a position 93 at which a pallet 16 does not come into contact with the escape wheel 15 in a movable range of the pallet. By measuring the total frictional resistance of the pallet 16 and balance 17, the approximate value of the frictional resistance of the balance 17 can be calculated. Thus, whether the frictional resistance value of the balance is normal or abnormal can be determined without decomposing a movement of a completed timepiece.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
