PURPOSE:To increase the fixing speed of an image by subjecting a photosensitive layer to imagewise exposing and developing process, then transferring an unpolymerized polymerizable compd. from the photosensitive layer to an image receiving layer and executing the polymn. process of the above-mentioned compd. in the state of suppressing the supply of oxygen. CONSTITUTION:After the photosensitive layer of a photosensitive material is subjected to the imagewise exposing and developing process, the photosensitive layer and the image receiving layer of an image receiving material are superposed on each other and are pressurized in this state so that the unpolymerized polymerizable compd. is transferred to the image receiving layer. The above-mentioned polymerizable compd. is then polymerized and cured in the state of suppressing the supply of the oxygen from the outside to the image receiving layer. The suppression of the supply of the oxygen can be executed by incorporating 0.1-100g/m<2> polymer (e.g.: PVA) having 1.0X10<-11>cm<2>.cm/cm<2>.sec.cmHg permeability constant of oxygen into the image receiving layer. The polymn. and curing are executed by incorporating a thermal polymn. initiator into the image receiving layer and heating the layer of incorporating a photopolymn. initiator into at least either of the photosensitive layer and the image receiving layer and projecting light thereon. |
