PURPOSE:To prevent the coincidence of input position between the graphic mode and the character mode by providing a character offset adding means which adds an offset extent DELTAx in the x-axis direction and an offset extent DELTAy in the y-axis direction to only coordinate values of characters inputted at the time of setting a prescribed mode. CONSTITUTION:A means 30 which discriminates whether the processing mode of a graphic processor 1 is set to the character processing mode or the graphic processing mode and a variation means 20 for variation of a coordinate point (x, y) are provided. That is, the variation means 20 is operated in accordance with the mode discriminated by the mode discriminating means 30 to perform the variation processing of at least one of coordinate values of a coordinate point (xN, yN) nearest to input coordinates (xP, yP). Thus, a graphic and a character are displayed are displayed slightly apart from each other even if input coordinates of the character are equal to those of the graphic.
