PURPOSE:To improve the easiness of operation with the connection, etc., of lead wires made unnecessary by providing a comparison device which compares the outputs of a first and second luminous elements and their photo-receiving elements that generate photo-signals in pulses according to the stage in cooking by means of signals from a control circuit and timer with the outputs of second pulse generating means and second pulse judgement means. CONSTITUTION:When the difference of time reserved by a timer and the present time is over 1hr, it is judged whether or not A which has in memory the kind of signal that wave received by a photo-transistor 24, A=1 (1 means reserved standby mode), and if Anot equal to 1, signal is sent to a photo-transistor 15 through a luminous diode 26, and if A=1, the signal of a luminous diode 16 is received by the photo-transistor 25 and it is judged whether or not the reserved standby mode is received. If the above-mentioned difference is within 1hr, it is judged whether or not A=2 (2 means reserved rice cooking mode) holds, and if Anot equal to 2, signal is sent to the photo-transistor 15 through the luminous diode 26, and if A=2, the signal of the luminous diode 16 is received by the photo-transistor 25. In the same manner, it is judged whether or not the signal of the completion of rice cooking mode is received.
