PURPOSE:To detect an event between plural processors suitable for problems and to diagnose a process operation in which no specific processor is designated, by diagnosing a device by performing the linking operation of a diagnosing program on each processor in parallel. CONSTITUTION:An external processor selection and interruption generating means 9 which generates interruption from an arbitrary diagnosing program 2 to another processor 1 is provided, and by interlocking the said means 9 with an existing internal interruption condition setting means 7, the start up of the diagnosing program of another processor can be performed selectively at a time when either processor satisfies an interruption condition. Also, communication between the diagnosing program of another processor is performed by using an inter-processor command switching means 11, and the state of the whole of the device can be grasped by performing the transmission of a diagnosing command to another processor and the reception of a diagnosis result.
