PURPOSE:To eliminate the nonuniformity in output sensitivity and to prevent an increase in the temperature drift of an output voltage, by providing an electrostatic capacity signal generating element and two detecting elements detecting output signals connected to the former element. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic capacity signal generating element 1 is provided by making fixed electrode plates 4, 5 face each other at a prescribed gap between them, while a rotary electrode plate 6 is disposed between these plates. The whole surface of a reception electrode part 9 of the electrode plate 6 faces a transmission electrode part 7 of the electrode plate 4. When the plate 6 rotates clockwise at a prescribed angle from this position and stops, the area of the opposition of the electrode part 7 (or 7a) and the electrode part 9 is narrowed (or widened) gradually, and consequently an electrostatic capacity is decreased (or increased). Corresponding to this decrease or increase, electrostatic capacity signals from output electrodes 8, 8a are inputted to detecting elements 2, 2a and the amount of rotational displacement of the electrode plate 6 is detected therefrom in prescribed combination with a signal of an oscillator 10. An output signal from each detecting element is inputted to an arithmetic element 3, and a difference between output signals is computed therein and outputted therefrom. When the ratio between currents flowing through two coils in a fixed oil is varied and a meter pointer of an indicating element is operated, for instance, the angle of the displacement is indicated.
