PURPOSE:To improve stability and to mold powder having high magnetic properties by mixing alloy powder containing a fine crystal containing rare earth element, transition metal, etc., or a mixed state of a fine crystal and an amorphous state and surface coating metal powder, and applying an impact caused by a rigid globular body. CONSTITUTION:Alloy powder having a composition of R-T-B or R-T-B-M (where R is rare earth element, T is Fe or transition metal mainly containing Fe, Co, and M is at least one of Zr, Nb, Mo, Hf, Ta and W) and made of a fine crystal or a mixed state of a fine crystal and an amorphous state and surface coating metal powder are mixed, an impact is applied with a rigid sphere to form surface-coating or film layer on magnet powder. Metal powder is selected from Cu, Al, Sn or their alloys, R is 5.5-12at%, M is 15at% or less, and B is 2-15at%. The mean particle size of the metal coating alloy powder is preferably 10-1000mum. Thus, the stability of the unstable R-T-B or R-T-B-M magnet is remarkably improved. |
