The invention relates to a structural element, composed of two spaced-apart bodies, in particular in the form of outer covers in the form of shells, mouldings, panels or the like, and of connectors which are arranged between said bodies. The object of the present invention is to provide, by very simple means, a structural element which can be produced from a large number of materials, has high static qualities and can easily be configured externally such that it corresponds to the wishes of the architects and buyers. In this arrangement, use can be made of those connecting means which have served up until now for connecting aluminium hollow profiles. The invention consists in that the connectors are bars which bear, on opposite sides, preferably obliquely arranged attachments which are in the form of mouldings (strips) and point in the same axial direction, in that the bodies have obliquely arranged grooves into which the attachments of two connectors are plugged, in that the attachments of one connector point in a different axial direction to the attachments of the other connector, and in that means are provided which keep the connectors, with their attachments plugged into the grooves, at a distance from one another.
