The invention concerns a telescopic mast comprising a number of telescopically displaceable sections 1 - 5 and means for creating such displacement, preferably consisting of a cable system 6 and members 7 for operating this system, the sections being provided with complementary internal and external control members and slide members 13, 15. The novel feature lies in the fact that, in order to allow the mast consisting of the sections 1 - 5 to be telescoped together into a transportation position, in which it has an overall height which is lower than the telescoped height of the sections included in it, these sections are made up of two telescopically displaceable section parts 1a and 1b, 2a and 2b, 3a and 3b etc., the cable system or equivalent displacement arrangement 6, 7 only acts on the sections 1 - 5 as a whole, while separate handling devices are provided for simultaneous extension and telescoping of the section parts when the mast sections are in their telescoped position. <IMAGE> |
