PURPOSE:To reduce a distance between both gears and a diameter of supporting bearings to reduce a built-in space by supporting a counter gear and a pinion gear with a first and a second bearings in the position respectively outer than both the gears on a counter shaft. CONSTITUTION:A first and a second bearings 76, 77 are respectively engaged with the outer sides opposite to both a counter gear 56 and a pinion gear 60 on a counter shaft 60a to support both the gears 56, 60 on the counter shaft 60a, and both the gears 56, 60 are supported by a transmission case 44 through the bearings 76, 77. A distance between the gears 56, 60 is thereby shortened to the necessary and minimum dimension for installation of an oil seal 75, while the bearings 76, 77 of which diameter is shortened are positioned in the outer sides opposite to both the gears 56, 60, namely both ends of the shaft, and the built-in space is reduced to make the structure compact.
