The powdery cosmetic is prepared by treating safflower or turmeric pigment with powdery material and mordant in a weak alkali solution so that the powdery material is fixed by the pigment after filtering. Especially benzophenone-4 or benzophenone-9 is added as UV-absorbing agent to improve light stability. One or more powdery materials are chosen from silk powder and crystalline cellulose.
