PURPOSE:To improve the moisture permeability and the resistance to hydraulic pressure by forming a resin film containing a gelatin powder having a specified number-average molecular weight on the whole or part of the surface of natural leather and dissolving out the gelatin powder to provide a porous structure. CONSTITUTION:On the whole or part of the surface of natural leather 1 is formed a resin film 2 which contains a gelatin powder 3 having a mean particle size of 3-5.5mum, preferably with the content of particles larger than 9mum in size being less than 10wt.%, and a number-average molecular weight of 8,500 or lower, and the gelatin powder 3 is dissolved out by using water, hot water, etc., to leave pores 4 behind. |
