PURPOSE: To provide a method for improving an org. developer solvent used in a method for producing a relief printing plate body by subjecting a photosensitive recording element to image forming exposure and development. CONSTITUTION: This process produces the photopolymerizable flexogrpahic relief printing plate body by subjecting the recording layers (B) of the photosensitive recording element having (A) a dimensionally stable substrate and (B) at least one layer of the photopolymerizable recording layers contg. (b1) at least one kind of the elastomer polymers as a binder, (b2) at least one kind of photopolymerizable monomers compatible with the binder (b1) and (b3) at least one kind of photopolymn. initiators to image forming exposure to chemical rays and developing the non-exposed parts and consequently non- photopolymerized parts of the recording layers (B) by washing away with an org. developer solvent, thereby forming relief layers. The org. developer solvent desired above contains acetic acid-(3-methoxy-n-butyl)-ester and/or glycolic acid-n-butyl ester or is formed of these materials.
