<p>PURPOSE:To improve reproductivity of images of fine lines, dots, etc., prevent a carrier as well as a toner from scattering, and improve image density by selecting the developing conditions within a certain range and specifying the distribution of the particle size of the magnetic carrier. CONSTITUTION:In a developing method by circulating a two-component-type developer consisting of a magnetic carrier and a toner to a developing container, the developing conditions in a developing range are set to satisfy the formular I, wherein M stands for the application amount (g/cm<2>) per sleeve unit surface area of the developer, H stands for the closest distance (cm) between the sleeve and a photo-sensitive drum, W stands for carrier's weight concentration (%) in the developer, rhot stands for true density (g/cm<2>) of the toner, and rhoc stands for true density (g/cm<2>) of the carrier. As the magnetic carrier one having average particle size 60-70mum and particle size distribution wherein 3-15wt.% of particles are 4mum or less particle size is used.</p> |
