PURPOSE:To provide adjustability for the damping force generating characteristics of a car damper in accordance with the road surface condition. CONSTITUTION:A controller is furnished to compare the extreme value VP of actual damping force change rate with the target extreme value VT and adjust to the softer side if VP>VT and to the harder side if VP<VT. Thereby a correction is made to the soft side when the damping force generating characteristics are too hard for the given road surface condition and to the hard side when the characteristics are too soft. |
