Green ceramic films (I) are produced by casting and drying a slip (II) contg. finely-divided inorganic pigment, organic solvent, polyvinyl butyral (PVB), plasticiser and dispersant (III); the novelty is that (III) is a cpd. contg. at least one unit of formula (a) (b) or (c) where A, Bis C3-4H6-8O- or -C2H4O- (A and B must be different); x,y=1-200. Pref. Z=Z1 and Z2; (III) contains cpds. obtd. by addn. of block copolymer residue(s) of x ethylene oxide (EO) units and y propylene oxide (PO) units or x PO and y EO units, to the amino gps. of N-(1-18C aliphatic)-substd. prim. or sec. amines or prim., prim./sec. or sec. di-or poly-amines, or of such cpds. with amino atoms bonded to one another by multivalent 1-12C aliphatic residues (opt. also contg. tert. or quat. -substd. N atoms and/or other substits.), pref. to the amino gps. of ethylenediamine; amt. of (III) is 0.1-10 wt. % w.r.t. pigment; pigment is finely-divided Al2O3; the PVB contains 15-22 wt.% vinyl alcohol units. |
