PURPOSE:To enable detection of a tape end and user information with high accuracy with simple constitution by providing a detecting member which has a user information detecting function and supports a light emitting part vertically slidably on the same axis. CONSTITUTION:A user information detecting hole 12 is held closed and while a sliding member 14 is positioned downward, a user information detecting sensor 16 detects the on state of the sensor when an arm member 4b pushes down the terminal 16a of the sensor 16. The detecting light from the light emitting part 9a passes a through-hole 14 and a slit 7a existing above the member 14 and is introduced to a light receiving element. The sensor 16 detects an off state when the detecting hole 12 opens and the member 14 exists upward to disengage the arm 14b from the terminal 16a. The detecting light from the light emitting part 9a passes the through-hole 14a at the lower part of the member 14 and slit 7a and is introduced to the light emitting element. The user information is surely detected without hindering the detection of the tape end in this way.
