ELASTOMER COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To prepare a thermoplastic elastomer compsn. improved in high-temp. compression set without detriment to the mechanical strengths by compounding a specific polyester with a specified amt. of vulcanized rubber particles having epoxy groups. CONSTITUTION:95-50wt.% polyester prepd. by reacting an aliph. dicarboxylic acid of formula I (wherein (n) is an integer of 0-10), an aliph. diol, and at least one compd. selected from the group consisting of a dihydroxy compd. of formula II (wherein R<1> and R<2> are each independently alkylene; (P) is 3 or 4; and (q) and (r) are each independently 0 or an integer of 1 or higher) and a monohydroxy compd. of formula III (wherein R<3> is alkylene; (l) is 2 or 3; and (m) is 0 or an integer of 1 or higher) is compounded with 5-50wt.% vulcanized rubber particles having epoxy groups.
