PURPOSE:To simplify a pressure structure, to miniaturize the disk device and to improve the accuracy and reliability of sending a carriage by attaching a rack to the carriage via a parallel leaf spring, giving a pressure to the rack by the elastic recovery of the leaf spring and pressurizing and engaging it with a pinion. CONSTITUTION:At the disk device for moving the rack provided on the pinion and the carriage provided on the outputting shaft of a step motor, moving a head in the radial direction of a head, deciding its position, recording and reproducing operations, a rack 64 is attached to a carriage 60 via a parallel leaf spring 64a. Then, the rack 64 is given a pressure by the elastic recovery of the interposing parallel leaf spring 64a and engaged with a pinion 63 by pressure. Thus, the rack and the pinion are accurately engaged, the device is driven without play, the moving position of the carriage is accurately decided and since an impact is reduced by the leaf spring, the structure of the device simplified, the device is miniaturized and the reliability is improved. |
