The stand for a portable machine tool has a table supporting the work. There are two cross-members (3,4) for fixing to opposite sides (2a,2b) of the table (2), with holders for securing support feet (5,6). They are pref. secured to two parallel guide bars (7,8), clamped in bores (9) in the table, and in the cross-members by screws. Each pair of feet can be detachably mounted in a cross-member.
