PURPOSE:To make it possible to represent a sharp cubic pattern having finer surface pattern, enlarge the degree of freedom in designing patterned surface and, at the same time, produce a synthetic resin ornamental piece having large shape retention by a method wherein the shape having a forming cavity of a female mold is shaped as it is onto a pattern piece. CONSTITUTION:The thermoplastic synthetic resin ornamental piece concerned is formed between a female forming metal mold 7 and a make forming rubber mold 8. At the female forming mold 7, a patterned basal solid 10 is engraved on a forming face 9 and, further, fine indentations 13 and 14 are engraved on the respective surfaces 11, 12 and the like of the basel solid 20 and linear recesses 16 are engraved on its surfaces 15 so as to form one forming cavity 17. By advancing the female forming metal mold 7 toward the male forming rubber mold 8 to the direction indicated with the arrow A, a base material and a pattern piece are pinched between the molds and heated with high frequency induction heating means or the like, Through the abovementioned pinching and heating, the base material and the pattern piece are formed into a cubic pattern faithful to the shape of the forming cavity 17, resulting in giving the fine indentations to the surface of the pattern piece. |
