<p>PURPOSE:To accurately inform a user of image contents while saving an image display time and to speed up image retrieval. CONSTITUTION:An external storage device 4 is stored with plural partial images constituted by dividing image data of all picture elements constituting one image into partial picture element data and gathering the partial picture element data having the same in-picture-element data positions. A CPU 6 composes the partial images of the image stored in the external storage device 4. The composed partial images are stored as display image data in a VRAM 3. While the image is displayed on a display device 1, a controller 11 an interruption at constant intervals of time measured initiates by a timer 10 and the CPU 6 increases the partial images in the image being displayed, and composes and displays the image. Further, when a previous or next image is specified on a keyboard 8, a controller 9 initiates an interruption to display the image before or after the current display image.</p> |
