<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a recording fluid excellent in the quality of an image, quick drying properties, shelf stability, safety and the prevention of clogging, and useful for ink jet printing by making the recording fluid contain a specified water-soluble dye. CONSTITUTION:A recording fluid which contains a water-soluble dye of the formula (wherein R1 is H or a 1-10C substituent containing at least one of -OH, -NH2, -C6H5, >C=O and -O-; R2 is a 1-10C substituent containing at least one of -OH, -NH2, -C6H5 and -O-; Q is a phenyl or naphthyl group substituted at least by -SO3M; and M is H, Li, Na, ammonium or amine) preferably in an amount of 0.1-10wt.%, more preferably 1-5wt.%, based on the total weight of the recording fluid.</p> |
