PURPOSE:To make the detection of a minute radiation leaking from a radiation shielding substance possible by a method wherein, based on an error of a predicted value at each unit time in a normal time from a radiation dose determined by a count integrating meter, the auto-correlation function of the error is determined. CONSTITUTION:By an abnormality detection processing device 9, an autoregressive model of a radiation 3 is prepared on the basis of a radiation dose at each unit time determined beforehand by a count integrating meter 5 at a normal time when no radiation leaks from a radiation shielding substance 2, and the predicted value of the radiation dose at each unit time in the normal time is determined. On the occasion when minute leakage of the radiation 3 is detected, an alarm is outputted when the value of an auto-correlation function of an error of the predicted value from the radiation dose determined by the count integrating meter 5, which is determined on the basis of the error, exceeds a prescribed alarm value.
