CASTER WHEEL

PURPOSE: To attain cost reduction and high operational efficiency in the braking device of a caster. CONSTITUTION: One caster includes two wheels 2, and the wheel has a tire 10 nonrotatably fixed around the central part 5 of the wheel and having an internal cylindrical drum surface 15. A brake mechanism 40 pivoted on a caster body has two side walls with outward-turned edge portions engageable with respective drum surfaces. The engagement may be at upper position or opposite the ground-engaging portion of the wheel.
