<p>PURPOSE:To provide a reproducer in which a frame synchronization from a stopped state can be attained to a multisegment recorded tape at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:A reference generator 4 generates a reference rotation signal and a reference frame signal. A drum 3 rotates and scans a mounted head to a tape 1, and outputs a reproduction signal. A reproduction track number detector 5 detects a track number from the reproduction signal. A tracking error signal detector 6 detects a tracking error signal from a pilot signal included in the reproduction signal. At the time of receiving an start command in a tape stop state, a timing controller 7 prepares an start timing from the reproduction track number, tracking error signal, and reference frame signal/reference rotation signal, and outputs a start instruction. A tape driving device 2 receives the start instruction, and allows the tape 1 to travel. Therefore, the precision of a stop position detection can be improved, the start can be attained in the optimal timing, and the frame synchronization can be attained at a high speed.</p> |
