<p>PURPOSE:To prevent aggregation of toner particles in a dispersion medium during polymn., to stabilize the dispersion, and to obtain toner particles having a sharp distribution of particle size. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic charge image developing toner is obtd. by dispersing a polymerizable monomer compsn. containing a charge controlling agent and a coloring agent in a water-base medium by using a dispersion stabilizer and then effecting suspension polymn. As for the dispersion stabilizer, an inorg. compd. powder which is hardly soluble in water is used. As for a dispersion assistant, a surfactant is used. A part of the inorg. compd. powder which is hardly soluble in water and a part or whole of the surfactant are added when the dispersion is initiated, and the rest of the inorg. compd. powder and surfactant, or the rest of the inorg. compd. powder is added during the dispersion or after the dispersion.</p> |
