<p>PURPOSE: To form a matte finished image and to obtain a thermoplastic resin for toners to be fixed at a low temp. by heat roll fixing by incorporating a low-temp. melting and low brightness toner resin compsn. including non- crosslinked parts and crosslinked parts into this thermoplastic resin. CONSTITUTION: This toner resin compsn. is the low-temp. melting and low brightness toner resin compsn. including the non-crosslinked parts and the crosslinked parts. The crosslinked parts are composed by fine gel particles crosslinked to a high density. The resin for the toners are preferably a partially crosslinked unsatd. resin like an unsatd. polyester resin and is obtd. by crosslinking the resin while applying high shearing force thereto at the melting temp. or above in a melting and mixing machine, like a extruder. The fine gel particles are formed by such a method which makes the spacings between polymer chains more proximate ; for example, the polymer chains are directly bonded in the unsatd. reaction sections and are bonded via oxygen in some cases, by which the fine gel particles are produced. The ratio of the fine gel particles included in the resin mixture is specified to 20 to 45wt.%.</p> |
