The tank has a valve seat (4) with a horizontally extending bore (6) which is connected to the inside of the tank (1). The bore contains a vertically arranged valve (7) having a piece of gas permeable woven fabric (9) held between sintered metal sections (8). This fabric allows gas to escape without letting any liquid to leak out. USE/ADVANTAGE - For the transport of gasifying liquids such as hydrogen peroxide. Ensures adequate venting and gives protection against fire and prevents leakage should the vehicle overturn.
