To keep the fresh-air inlet ice-free in a gas turbine generating plant, the feed water warmed up in the air cooler (6) behind the compressor (4) is passed to a heat exchanger (5) in the air intake filter unit (11). In a further development, the warm feed water is instead tapped off from the return path from the air cooler by a thermostat-controlled three-way motorised valve.
