<p>α-olefin and particularly ethene can be polymerized with a high yield and a controlled molar mass and molar mass distribution by using a procatalyst composition prepared in the following consecutive steps: (a) chlorinating a particulate inert support with a chlorinating agent, (b) contacting the chlorinated support with an impregnating solution based (i) on a magnesium halide, (ii) an alkoxy magnesium compound, (iii) a tetravalent titanium alkoxide compound and (iv) an electron donor.</p> |
