In the case of a device for dispensing liquids into bottles, cans or similar containers, having at least one volumetric metering chamber which is connected via a controllable inlet valve to a container for supplying the liquid and via a controllable output valve to a filling nozzle, there are arranged in the metering chamber at least two sensors which respond to different filling levels, the upper sensor closing the inlet valve when the liquid reaches a certain height and the lower sensor closing the outlet valve when the liquid falls to a certain level. The vertical distance between the two sensors or their measuring points is therefore used to define the volume of liquid to be poured in a simple fashion. The structure of this device is simple and easy to understand and the device itself is easy to clean and can be converted without difficulty to dispense different volumes of liquid.
