The machine has a funnel (1), through the rear wall of which run two parallel vertical conveyor bands (2, 2') which are equipped with crossmembers (4) and which raise the tubes (5) and convey them to the rear part of the bands. An ejector device throws off the second and every further tube (5) from each crossmember (4) during the raising operation. The tubes (5) are guided by lateral guides (7) as far as lower outlets (8), from where they arrive at the distributor of the spinning machine. The lateral guides (7) and the lower outlets (8) are of adjustable width. The machine is stopped as a result of the positive opening of control flaps when the orderly supply of the tubes is no longer guaranteed. <IMAGE>
