PURPOSE:To facilitate fabrication of a photovoltaic power element module while preventing degradation of characteristics by preventing formation of a rear surface electrode on the rear of a photovoltaic power layer corresponding to a current collecting electrode. CONSTITUTION:Patterning is carried out for a rear surface electrode 14 formed on an insulating substrate 12. The patterning position corresponds to the take- out part of current collecting electrode 22. A photovoltaic power layer 18 is then formed on the rear surface electrode 14 followed by the formation of a transparent electrode, i.e., a surface electrode 20. A current collecting electrode 22 is subsequently formed on the surface electrode 20. When a metal wire 24 is soldered to the take-out part of the current collecting electrode 22, the current collecting electrode 22 permeates to the photovoltaic layer 18 due to the heat of solder thus forming a part (blackened part) where the metal composing the electrode 22 is alloyed with the amorphous semiconductor layer composing the photovoltaic layer 18. Since the rear surface electrode 14 is not formed under the electrode 22, the surface electrode 20 and the rear surface electrode 14 are not short-circuited. |
