PURPOSE:To obtain a molding method of a sandwich molded article which makes it possible to fill sufficiently the inside of a fitting rib with a core material necessary for the characteristics of a sandwich structure and to lessen the amount of resin discharged into a false tab. CONSTITUTION:On the occasion of molding a sandwich molded article which has a main body and a fitting rib projecting from the main body, a molding die which has a cavity 41 for molding the main body and a rib cavity 42 communicating with the cavity 41 and provided for molding the fitting rib is used. A false tab 45 is provided for the rib cavity 42 with a small passage 44 interposed. The false tab 45 is so provided as to be directed onto the upstream side in a resin flow direction Y of the cavity 41.
