<p>PURPOSE:To provide a new peptide having artery relaxing activity and hypoten sive activity. CONSTITUTION:The new peptide of formula H-Tyr-Pro-Phe-Pro-Pro-Leu-OH; which can be obtained by the following process: using a conventional method for peptide syntheses, i.e., liquid or solid phase method, a condensation is performed, through carbodiimide or active ester method, between (A) a reactive carboxyl-bearing raw material and (B) a reactive amino group-bearing raw material, where the former (A) and the latter (B) are respectively corresponding to one of the fragments obtained by dividing into two a peptide at any site of its chain and, in the case the resultant condensate bears protecting group(s), by eliminating it (them) to obtain the objective new peptide.</p> |
