<p>PURPOSE:To provide the long-life electrophotographic carrier which hardly generates wear, peeling, crack, etc., is capable of preventing the generation of spenting, withstands long-term use, has the excellent stability of carrier electrostatic charge characteristics, has the small dependency of the coating material for the electrophotographic carrier and the electrostatic charge characteristics on temp. and has excellent stability. CONSTITUTION:This coating material for the electrophotographic carrier consists essentially of the organo-polysiloxane expressed by R<f>aR<1>bSi(OR<2>)cO(4-(a+b+c))/2 and this electrophotographic carrier is formed by using this coating material. In the formula, R<f> is the group expressed by CpF2p+1Q (p is an integer from 1 to 12. Q is 2 to 12C bivalent org. group); R<1> is 1 to 12C alkyl or phenyl group; R<2> is 1 to 6C alkyl group; a, b and c are the numbers satisfying 0<a<=1, 0<=c<=3 and 0<=a+b+c<=4.</p> |
