PURPOSE: To increase the precision of a feedback signal by providing a stator which is formed of a magnetic material, having a nearly cylindrical main body part and a large number of pole elements in an identical shape, which extend radially from the periphery of the main body part at intervals. CONSTITUTION: Each pole 34 of the stator 12 has two insulated coils 38 and 38', and all the coils 38' in a group having a sensor circuit leg part CT1 wound in one direction on the poles 34 are assigned odd numbers, and all the coils 38 having a sensor circuit leg part CT2 wound in the reverse direction on the poles 34 are assigned even numbers. The winding of the stator 12 includes the respective poles 34 which function as torque poles and sensor poles. Therefore, when the stator 12 operates with equal two-phase voltages and is connected so as to supply a two-channel feedback signal, optimum magnetic balance is obtained for both the detecting function and electric power of the motor. Further, very accurate positional information is obtained because of the high-level resolution of a rotor position. |
