PURPOSE:To effectively prepare a phenol oxidase by introducing into various microorganism an phenol oxidase gene I prepared by dividing a DNA coding a specific amino acid sequence with an intron. CONSTITUTION:A phenol oxidase gene I comprising a DNA or prepared by dividing the DNA with an intron is synthesized. The DNA is a natural substance or obtained by a synthetic or semi-synthetic method, is related with the sequence of a DNA coding a specific amino acid sequence by the substitution of nucleotides, the insertion of nucleotides and the reversion of the sequence of nucleotides or other mutations and codes a polypeptide having a phenol oxidase activity. The introduction of the phenol oxidase gene I into various living things permits the preparation of a phenol oxidase capable of being utilized for biological pulping, the decolorization of factory waste waters, etc. |
