POLYESTER FILM FOR LAMINATION WITH METALLIC SHEET, AND METALLIC SHEET OR METALLIC CONTAINER LAMINATED THEREWITH

PURPOSE:To obtain a laminated metallic sheet of improved impact resistance by laminating a metallic sheet with a polyester film prepared by molding a polyester composition containing a specified amount of an antioxidant. CONSTITUTION:A copolyester resin comprising a dicarboxylic acid component such as a terephthalic acid/isophthalic acid and a diol component such as ethylene glycol and used for forming a protective layer, a polyester resin containing 0.01-5wt.% phenolic antioxidant, comprising a terephthalic acid/dimer acid and ethylene glycol and used for forming a flexible layer and a polyester resin comprising a terephthalic acid/isophthalic acid and ethylene glycol and used for forming an adhesive layer are molten with separate extruders. The streams of the melts are combined with each other between dies in order of protective layer/flexible layer/adhesive layer and then cooled to obtain a polyester film for lamination with a metallic sheet having a protective layer/flexible layer/ adhesive layer thickness ratio of 1-20mum/3-60mum/1-15mum. A metallic sheet is laminated with this film, and the obtained laminated metal sheet is molded into a metallic can of a specified shape.
