PURPOSE:To provide a small-sized optical fiber line switching device provided with a self-holding function for holding an optical fiber line after switching in a switched state. CONSTITUTION:This optical fiber line switching device 1 is provided with a butting member 2 having plural butting grooves where the tips of multi-fibers FM are arranged, a turning arm 3 holding a single fiber FS turned by electromagnetic force and moved in the arraying direction of the plural butting grooves, and successively switching, butting and connecting the single-core fiber to each optical fiber (f) of the multi-fiber, and a holding means 4 holding the turning arm in the switched state. The single fiber is moved to be switched to be butt- connected to an optional optical fiber of the multi-fiber consisting of plural optical fiber.
