PURPOSE:To eliminate malfucntion due to electric noise and produce a large area and high minuteness image by a method wherein ion flow controlling voltage application starting time point of which is different in one group from another, is applied to a plurality of groups of ion flow controlling electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Delaying parts 36, which delay the voltage application starting time points, are provided on the finger electrodes 33 of the ion flow controlling electrodes of a recording head so as to apply controlling voltages, in which the voltage application starting time points are divided into a plurality of groups, to the finger electrodes 33. When the delaying parts 36 are of non- synchronizing type, each delaying part consists of a delay line A1 mainly made of a coil and a capacitor and an amplifier A2, which amplifies the voltage in a digital circuit level up to the several hundred volts as shown in the figure B. In order to operate respective finger electrode groups in timings, which are different fron one another, a plurality of delay lines A1 are arranged in series under the condition that the number of the delay lines A1 are changed in every finger electrode 33 for the realization of the operation. |
