The invention concerns a rail-vehicle wheel with rubber shock-absorbing elements, the wheel consisting of a main body (1), a rim (2) and elastic rubber elements (3) fitted under pre-tension in annular spaces between the main body (1) and the rim (2). The spaces are delimited in such a way by support surfaces (7a, 8a, 15, 16) for the rubber elements (3), and the support surfaces oriented in such a way, that the rubber elements (3), when subjected to a load by the axle, are compressed beyond the existing pre-tension in the region of the wheel near the vertex (Z) and are relieved of tension in the region (S) near the rail.
